The Lemonade Cleansing Diet-What Is It?
The Lemonade Cleansing Diet is the brainchild of Stanley Burroughs, the originator of the Master Cleanse Diet and is widely considered the best detox diet in the world today. It has been around for nearly fifty years and has always enjoyed tremendous popularity. The diet really exploded a few years ago when super diva Beyonce Knowles admitted to using it to lose weight for her role in the movie “Dreamgirls”. She actually managed to lose twenty pounds in ten days utilizing the diet as explained on this page.
What makes up the diet? Well it is a somewhat strange combination of fresh lemon juice, cayenne pepper, maple syrup, and hot water. The procedure would look like this:
Find a one gallon container and mix up 3 quarts of water, 1 cup maple syrup, 3 quarts of water, and 1 teaspoon of Cayenne pepper. You will take this drink anywhere from six to eight times a day. This detoxification process can be used anywhere from two days to twenty days, but the recommended length is no longer that ten days. You should then not repeat this diet for a minimum of four weeks.
The purpose of this diet is to detox or cleanse the kidneys and the digestive system while at the same time eliminating toxins from the blood. The theory is that cleansing your system will help rejuvenate the joints, muscles, and nervous system.
Problems that can arise include: cravings, aches and pains, bad temper due to irritability and tiredness. You can expect some or all of these during this diet as they are simply symptoms of detoxification of your body.
The Lemonade Cleansing Diet can be rough at first as you will be making several trips to the bathroom. The amazing thing is that you will release toxins in your digestive system that may have been there for years. While this may not be pleasant, it can do wonders for you health as well as helping you lose that unwanted weight.
